The annual awards are presented by The Family Business Center at Loyola University Chicago's Quinlan School of Business. The awards program recognizes exceptional Illinois-based family businesses that demonstrate a strong commitment to business development, family, and the greater Illinois community. The awards drew nominations in six categories: small (companies with fewer than 50 employees), medium (50 to 250), large (more than 250), community service, dean’s award, and century award. Award winners all demonstrated positive family/business linkage, multi-generational family business involvement, contributions to industry and community, and innovative business practices and strategies.
Flood Brothers Disposal & Recycling Services was named the winner in the Medium Business Category. Starting with one truck, one employee and one simple philosophy, “Provide a great service at a fair price,” the Flood Family has been in the waste removal industry in one form or another since 1930. Eighty-Five years and five generations later, this family-owned and operated waste removal company has updated its trucks and technologies, and expanded its scope of operations, all the while, remaining committed to the simple concept. They still believe in honest, responsive, hard work and its employees practice those tenets every day.
Magenium Solutions provides online engagement, creative, and marketing services to Flood Brothers and extends congratulations to the entire Flood family for this well deserved recognition.
